Besides the 24, 16, 8 page categories, the challenge will have an Adult and General section.
Instead of making harsh restrictions or rules on what can and can't be in a particants comic and limiting creativity, the organisers have decided to create two sections for entries; a general section and an Adult section. But bear in mind that this is not without boundary as mentioned in Rule 8: "The organisers of the challenge reserve the right to reject any entry which in their opinion may: a) bring the nature of the contest into question; b) be potentially libelious, inciteful, or illegal under Australian law; or c) overly explicit or distasteful. Please remember this is about having fun, not trying to shock people!"
The General section will be material suitable for a general audience.
The Adult section will consist of entries which due to their language, sexual and violent content could be deemed by the larger community as being not suitable for children under the age of 13. Content of entries that include either explicit sexual content, graphic and realistic violence or highly frequent coarse language, such that if they were films would receive a MA15+ or R rating will be placed in the Adult section. (again, please refer to Rule 8 for guidance on content.)
The Adult section will only be accessible to logged in Pulp Faction members.
Participants are asked to denote their entry by putting the term "adult" in the title of their entry when they start the challenge. An event organiser will then move the entry into the Adult section. Participants can have their entry moved into the Adult Section at anytime of the Challenge. If an entry is deemed Adult by an event organiser, but it has not been marked as such by the participant, it will be moved and a message sent to the participant alerting them to this fact.
Adult and General sections will be eligible for seperate schedules of prizes.
